I dream of a future where all people have access to quality medical services. To achieve this, we need a sufficient number of highly qualified and skilled doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals. This requires standard educational institutions that develop competent manpower dedicated to exceptional care.
To contribute to this vision, I established Khulna Surgical and Medical Hospital in 1988, which was renamed Gazi Medical College Hospital Ltd. in 2011. Today, it comprises three wings: Gazi Medical College Hospital, Gazi Medical College, and GMR Nursing Institute.
The hospital has 600 beds and is equipped with modern healthcare facilities. Serving over 700 patients daily through our outpatient departments, we provide both indoor and outdoor services aligned with the standards of a teaching hospital. Specialized units include Dialysis, CCU, HDU, ICU, NICU, and Neuro ICU. Diagnostic services include CT Scan, MRI, BMD, Endoscopy, Echo, Doppler, RT-PCR, ETT, and more.
Gazi Medical College is the first private medical institution in Khulna, approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the 2011–12 academic session. We offer a five-year MBBS course and one-year internship. Over 500 students from Bangladesh, India, and Nepal study in an international environment. Our faculty and staff work as a unified team, and our students consistently achieve outstanding academic success.
GMR Nursing Institute, established in 2010, offers a three-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery. It is approved by the Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with an annual intake of 105 students.
I am deeply grateful to the Government of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, DGHS, Rajshahi University, RMU, BM&DC, and our global partners for their support. I also thank the National Medical Commission (India), Nepal Medical Council, and WHO’s World Directory of Medical Schools for recognizing our institution. Our alumni are eligible for PLAB, USMLE, and other international exams.
We remain committed to producing skilled doctors and nurses who will serve both nationally and internationally with excellence.
